Chess Club was Established in Kingisepp with Participation of the Governor

As part of visiting meeting of the government of the Leningrad region, the governor of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko conducted opening ceremony of the Vertical chess club in Kingisepp. Portenergo actively participated in reconstruction of the club.
The repair works were being performed from 2016 to 2017. After repair, the club became adapted for disabled people.
The Vertical club was reconstructed alongside with other social objects of the Kingisepp region as part of charity initiatives of local companies and businessmen.
"It's very important for Portenergo to take part and social, cultural and sports life of Kingisepp where most of the enterprise's personnel live, where employees' children get raised and educated, — said Vyacheslav Melnikov, Director General of LLC UK SIBUR-Portenergo. — Kingisepp is a town with rich chess traditions, students of local chess schools traditionally win prizes in Russian and international competitions and it's a big honour for us to take part in development of this sport."
