LLC Portenergo conducts constant complex activity for decrease of its environmental impact.
In order to implement Environmental Strategy of the Company, the Corporate Environmental Management System (CEMS) compliant with requirements of the international ISO 14001:2004 standard was introduced. Efficiency of the Corporate Environmental Management System is confirmed by successful pass of annual independent audits for compliance with requirements of the international ISO 14001:2004 standard.
The Environmental Management System provides possibility of efficient management of environmental aspects of the enterprise's activities from the design stage to productional and auxiliary activity of the facilities providing environmental safety of the facilities both in normal operation conditions and in emergency response. Constant perfection of the corporate management system build on the basis of principles of vertical integration, strategic planning, resource distribution between enterprises, development of uniform corporate standards, regulations and policies gives opportunity of step-by-step enhancement of CEMS functionality.
Every year, on the basis of priorities of production and environmental safety activities enhancement, the Company issues environmental targets and performance indicators for levels and functions within the Company. These targets serve as the basis for formulation of specific tasks and programmes of measures for implementation of the Environmental Strategy reflected in the Integrated Management System Policy supported by the employees and serving as guidemark in all production sites. Such measures are contained in annual environmental programmes of the Company's enterprises.
LLC Portenergo also aims at compliance with international environmental protection requirements.
