The Navigator Luga Gas Carrier Set its First Loaded Sail from the Ust-Luga Port

On March 10, the first loading of the Navigator Luga gas carrier vessel after commissioning was completed in the SIBUR-Portenergo terminal. After it, the vessel set its first sail — to the Swedish Stenungsund port.

About 13 thousand tons of cooled butane at temperature of -33 degrees Celcius were loaded aboard the tanker. The loading was performed normally and took 15 hours. Maximum performance reached during the loading operation was equal to 2000 cubic metres per hour.

The Navigator Luga and Navigator Yauza gas carrier vessels were constructed by the Korean Hyundai MIPO shipyard for regular year-round transports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the liquefied petroleum gas transloading facility of the Ust-Luga trading seaport. The vessels are chartered by SIBUR under long-term contract signed with Navigator Gas.
