Navigator Yauza Gas Carrier Set its First Sail

3332

On June 13, the first loading of the Navigator Yauza gas carrier vessel after commissioning was completed in the Portenergo terminal. After it, the vessel set its first sail — to the English Canvey Island port.

About 12.5 thousand tons of cooled propane at temperature of -39 degrees Celcius were loaded aboard the tanker. The loading was performed normally and took 45 hours. Maximum performance reached during the loading operation was equal to 1000 cubic metres per hour.

The Navigator Yauza and Navigator Luga gas carrier vessels were constructed by the Korean Hyundai MIPO shipyard for regular year-round transports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the liquefied petroleum gas transloading facility of the Ust-Luga trading seaport. The vessels are chartered by SIBUR under long-term contract signed with Navigator Gas.
